COVID-19 has profoundly changed our lives in recent years and, unfortunately, has caused the loss of many loved ones.
Beyond the initial loss, many individuals continue to experience long-term complications after recovering from the infection. While some people endure the disease with only mild symptoms, others face severe and even life-threatening illness. None of this is coincidental—genetic factors play a significant role.
This panel specifically investigates genetic conditions that may have contributed to severe COVID-19 outcomes and may also require follow-up and treatment in the future. Some genetic disorders may predispose individuals to more severe courses of other infectious diseases or lead to other medical complications later in life.
