Dr. Hasan Baş is a specialist in Medical Genetics who focuses on rare diseases in both clinical diagnosis and scientific research. He is the Director of the Clinical Genetics Department at Intergen Genetic and Rare Diseases Diagnosis and Research Center. After graduating from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2015, he completed his residency training in Medical Genetics at Eskişehir Osmangazi University in 2020. In the same year, he obtained the European Certificate in Medical Genetics and Genomics (ECMGG).
He was selected for a UNESCO-supported training program organized by LOVD on the curation of human gene/disease databases and currently serves voluntarily as a gene–disease validity curator in ClinGen’s “Kidney Cystic and Ciliopathy Disorders Working Group.” His work focuses on the genetic basis of human diseases, an area in which he has been active for approximately ten years. His main areas of interest in recent years include the clinical management of rare diseases, variant effect prediction, and gene–disease relationships.
